The Wairamarama Community Youth Grant Scheme is available to support Wairamarama school-aged children in their extra-curricular activities. Children can apply to the Wairamarama Community Committee to request financial assistance with their sporting, cultural, educational* and leadership endeavours. The community’s contribution is a portion of the activity’s cost; applicants are expected to work and/or fundraise to cover the difference.

It’s wonderful that our community is able to provide support for our tamariki for experiences that might otherwise prove too costly. Our main community fundraising event, the Wairamarama Trail Ride, enables us to provide this support.

The Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust provides vital lifesaving services to rural communities like the Wairamarama. Our community donates 10% of the net funds raised from the Wairamarama Trail Ride to the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust.
